WES Reopening Information for the 2020-21 School Year
August 2, 2020
Greetings Wentworth Families and Happy August!
We wanted to let you know that Wentworth Elementary School will reopen this fall for the 2020-2021 school year.
Before addressing specific plans for reopening, I would first like to thank you for providing feedback in the SAU 48 Return To School Survey. Survey results provided direction for the Wentworth Elementary School reopening committee composed of local members of the community that include law enforcement, town health officer, school board, Speare Memorial Nurse coordinator, as well as staff members, Assistant Superintendent, and Principal.
In addition to Survey feedback, the reopening committee’s plans for reopening are based on NH K-12 Back-To-School and CDC guidelines. Our first priority is the safety of students, staff, and community which guides our every decision in our plans for reentry.
Wentworth Back-To-School guidelines will be available to view in mid-August on the WES webpage.
Please keep in mind that these guidelines must be flexible and adaptive to changing community needs and shifting epidemiological data.
We will continue to provide you with any additional information when available.
We wish you continued wellness for the remaining summer break.
Your Partner in Education,
Due to remote learning remaining in place for the rest of the year, WES has moved Kindergarten Registration on-line for this year. We're very disappointed that we won't get a chance to meet our newest students face-to-face during registration, but we're also really excited to learn about our new kindergarteners and we can't wait to have them start the new year with us!
The following forms will need to be printed, filled out, and either emailed to email@example.com or mailed to Wentworth Elementary School P.O. Box 139, Wentworth NH 03282.
In addition to the forms, please include a copy of the birth certificate, a current physical exam from your physician, an updated immunization form, and if needed, an order from your physician for any medication, including an inhaler or epi-pen, which will be needed during the school hours for the next school year.
Thank you for understanding the need for the change in registration for this year, and please don't hesitate to reach out to the school via firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions or concerns.
See you soon!
See the WES Google Calendar (see tab just above) for the current activities schedule.

Any parent or guardian who is experiencing unemployment at this time is strongly urgered to fill out a Free and Reduced Lunch application immedately.
A HUGE Thank You to all who attended the District Meeting on 7 March to show your support to our school, students and community! THANK YOU!!!
IMPORTANT: New Procedures for Parent Pick-Up and Drop-Off
To further ensure student safety, it is the expectation as of today, that when dropping off or picking up students, vehicles no longer PARK in front of the school other than in a parallel position to the building at any time.*
When entering today, please look for the blue lines and cones directing vehicle ENTRANCE and EXIT. At dismissal, students will be escorted to your vehicle, so please wait inside or by your vehicle until your child is delivered to you.
*If you are here for a scheduled meeting, please park on the grass outside of the playground unless otherwise authorized.
This information is now posted under the For Families menu of the WES website.
Thank you for your cooperation and help in keeping our students safe,
Principal, Wentworth Elementary School
